This policy explains what Hmm processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Information we process

We process account details you choose to provide, poll questions and options, photos, votes, optional vote reasons, reports, blocks, notification preferences, and the country you select for local timelines. Optional age-range and self-described demographic fields are used only for personalisation and privacy-protected aggregate results. Payment card details are handled by Apple and are never received by Hmm.

How we use information

We use this information to publish polls, prevent duplicate votes and abuse, calculate results, personalise country and global feeds, verify visibility-credit purchases, deliver notifications you request, moderate content, and keep the service reliable. Optional product analytics is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in Settings.

Service providers

Hmm uses Supabase for infrastructure and authentication, RevenueCat and Apple for purchase verification, and Expo and Apple for app delivery and notifications. Microsoft Azure Translator is used only to translate the text of public polls into your chosen language, while Cloudflare provides the secure translation endpoint and cache. Identity, email address, votes, payment information, and private media are not included in translation requests. These providers process only the information needed to perform their services.

Retention and deletion

You can start permanent account and content deletion from Profile → Settings & Privacy → Delete account and data. Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained only where necessary.

Your choices

You may decline optional demographic fields, disable analytics, withdraw notification permission in device settings, report content, block users, and delete your account in the app. Hmm does not sell personal information or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.

Children and safety

Hmm is not directed to children under 13. Content involving identifiable people must be shared with permission. Non-consensual, exploitative, threatening, or appearance-rating content is not allowed.
